Whether you are just beginning your musical journey or already have experience, my goal is to create a supportive, encouraging space where you can grow in confidence, skill, and love for music. All of my lessons are offered ONLINE or IN PERSON My studio is located in Pasco County, Florida
ABOUT ME
Janey Morey: Owner and Instructor
Janey Morey is a passionate music teacher, performer, and lifelong musician who loves helping students discover their voice and grow in confidence.
Her love for music began at a very young age—she was singing as soon as she could make a sound and started playing piano at just six years old. That early passion grew into a lifelong calling to teach and inspire others through music.
Janey holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. She has taught at the college level, including at Pensacola Christian College, where she worked with music majors and non-majors in private voice lessons, music theory, interpretive speech, and vocal instruction.
With over 25 years of teaching experience, Janey has worked with hundreds of students of all ages—from young beginners to teens and adults. She understands that every student is unique and creates a supportive, encouraging environment where each student can feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn.
Her background includes training with Metropolitan Opera singers as well as a vocal coach from American Idol, giving her a well-rounded approach that blends strong fundamentals with modern techniques. She has performed in operas, musicals, concerts, and even as a lead singer and keyboardist in a rock band—bringing a wide range of musical styles into her teaching. She has played the lead role of Josephine in HMS Pinafore as well as understudy for Amahl in Amahl and the Night Visitors. She also participated in solo roles including singing the soprano solo role in Handel's Messiah. She has competed in multiple vocal competitions and took home the first place metal. She not only has helped her students prepare for auditions for plays and musicals, but she also has prepared students to be successful in participating in American Idol, The Voice, and other various competitions.
Janey believes that learning music should be both structured and joyful. Her lessons focus on building healthy vocal technique, strong fundamentals, and confidence - while also helping students express themselves and truly enjoy the process.
Her goal is simple: to help every student feel proud of their progress, confident in their abilities, and inspired to keep growing.

Private Voice Lessons: Voice lessons are designed to focus on proper breath control, vocal technique, and interpretation. Each lesson is customized to meet your goals and your unique style.
Private Piano Lessons
Private Piano Lessons: Learn proper technique, rhythm, how to read music, basic theory, and how to play your favorite song!
Private Interpretive Speech Lessons
Private Interpretive Speech Lessons: Learn proper breath support and basic public speaking skills and techniques. Also, receive an Introduction to many performance genres in theater including poetry, storytelling, monologue, and more.
Private Acting Lessons
Private Acting Lessons: Dive deep into character development, diction, and acting skills
Musical Composition and Songwriting
Musical Composition and Songwriting: Learn the skills needed to write your own lyrics, music, and
arrangements.
Music Theory
Music Theory: Learn basic music theory such as how to read music, sightreading, and rhythm
Musical Theater Coaching
Musical Theater Coaching: Learn a good foundation of vocal technique, acting, stage presence, and character development.
Group Lessons
Group Lessons: You may organize any course as a group lesson. These are great for homeschool groups, study groups, friends and family, or to add another course to your private lessons.
Band Coaching
Band Coaching: Get help with set lists, vocal coaching, stage presence, and booking gigs.
PRICING:
30 minute private lessons: $195 per month
45 minute private lessons: $275 per month
Group Lessons: $75 per month for non-private students; $45 per month for private students. Group lessons must have a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 8.
